Tuesday, a day for a lot of catching up

Ok, I know its been a while since I've posted anything to my blog. The easiest way to explain this is work... My hours have greatly increased. I went from basically working only weekends to working five to six day a week. So that makes it hard for me to post regularly. I know with past catch up posts I try to sum up what happened on the missed days, but there are too many, so I will just hit the highlights.

Some of the readers of my blog will already know this, but the Hershey Bears made it into the Calder Cup playoffs. They ended the regular season in first place in their devision. And so far they've won the first two playoff games. The next two are later this week at home. If they can win both they move on to the next round, if not its still the best out of seven.

I guess niw i'll talk about work a little. Like I said earlier my hours were increased. For the most part it is steady most days. Of course on days it rains i'm not as busy. Some of the new and returning employees have started. I'm not sure of my feelings toward them yet. Some of them seem like complete idiots, but they may just need to learn, and I am willing to teach them.

The most interesting thing that happened at home would be the fact that we got a ferret. We were at the pet store on Sunday and fell in love with him. We weren't going to get him, but we had to go back on monday to exchange something, and we couldn't pass him up a second time. We haven't named him yet, but i'm sure we will soon. I'll include two pics I have of him:



He's about two months old, and very playful. We have to work on ferret proofing our apartment now though. He got into a few places we didn't want him to last night. He's taking to us nicely already. Well that's about it for catch up. After work i'll put a few more updates in, and post this...

Ok, I'm home from work, had dinner, and played with the little guy. We still haven't decided on a name for him... We have to come up with one soon so that he can get used to it. Also if we register him with where he was born, and give a name, they will send us an official birth certificate.... Well NCIS is about to start, so I guess I'll post this...

Thursday, a day of building

Ok, today I spend a lot of time building things. The main thing I worked on building was my petition website. I'm pretty sure I mentioned that in a previous blog. After the way Hershey runs the player autograph night, it just got to be too much, and i set up the website. So I spent several hours yesterday finally getting it fully online. The other thing i worked on building is a new island for our turtles to bask on. The one we have doesn't really support them anymore. So we started building another one. I have to wait to finish it until I can get up to my parent's house. The main part of the island is going to be a section of 1ftX1ft tile. The only problem we've found is that we have just 1ft width on the inside of the tank. So to get it to fit with the pieces needed to support it, I have to cut out sections of the tile. But since i don't have a tile saw, and it would take way too long to file it down by hand, I'm going to wait until I go up to my parent's house and use my dad's saw and just cut it.

Wednesday, catching up again

Ok, I didn't get a post for Tuesday. I don't know how I forgot to post it. I guess it was just because I was fighting with work. I got a call with my April schedule, but it wasn't right. So I tried calling them back, and got the voice mail. So I e-mailed in my problems. A few minutes later I got a call back from one of the guys and he was really annoyed that I e-mailed in. But I needed to get things figured out. I was told that all supervisors had to work over the weekend of springtime in the park. Well, they didn't schedule me. So I wanted to check on it. They called back and said that since I agreed to work, and they didn't schedule me, that it wouldn't be held against me. So I hope they don't. So other then fighting with work I don't think I did much Tuesday.

Today I did spend most of the day working on a website. I'm trying to get my petition website setup and running. There are several things that are done at the Hershey Bears games that I don't think are done right, so I am working on setting up two petitions to try to solve the problems. Once I get the websites working I'm going to put them on live, and advertise the URL. Really thats about all I did today, but it took most of the day, and the one still isn't working right. I guess tomorrow is another day.
